Apples. Celery. Walnuts. Grapes. Dressed in mayonnaise? No, wait, this isn’t a salad (neither is a Waldorf Salad; it’s an abomination) but a collection of dapper Dillys here to educate us regarding Waldorf colours of the day.
The colours are as so:
- Monday = purple day
- Tuesday = red or pink day
- Wednesday = yellow day
- Thursday = orange or brown day
- Friday = green day
- Saturday = blue day
- Sunday = white day
We’ve got love for Rudolph Steiner, the esteemed founder of the Waldorf movement, as he spent much of his time expanding on Goethe’s theory of colour with the belief that the creation of art should be viewed as a spiritual activity.
If music be the food of love, then is art the cake of food? It makes no sense but we'll post rationalise after another slice of Victoria Sponge...
