When our gallant Cap’n Dilly spied a mermaid so fair
And a merman, so fierce, who asked “who goes there?”
Cap’n Dilly, undeterred, says “Y’arr, tis but me,
And I’ve yet to have a decent spot of mer-tea”
So the mermaid and merman set about plating up
A delightful sea tea of cakes with their best cups
And sup they, Cap’n ‘n’ crew
With the kind and fair merman and mermaid of the blue!
